Memorial Day

Memorial Day is a Day set aside to remember all of the fallen soldiers who gave thier lives so we can enjoy our lives as we know them. I personally do not have any family members who gave a life, but I am still gratefull for those who did.... We drove to Lehi to pay tribute to Niles parents and his brother Mike....Even though it has been a few years, it is still hard for him to visit the cemetary. So for our family this is a Holiday to think about the ones we love and miss.

End of High School Baseball

I can hardly believe High School Baseball has come to an end for another year. The Wildcats finished 2nd in reigon . They had a good year but they still need more pitching to give Denver a chance to rest once in a while, oh well thats what happens in small schools I guess. Denver finished the year with a .500 batting average with 7 Home-runs and 70 Strike-outs this year so he rightfully earned a spot on the North 2-A All Star Team. They played the game on Saturday the 16th in Gunnison. It was alot of fun to watch the kids, a few he has known since Super League days. Congrats to you, Big Guy!!

2-A All Star Game

Denver and Kendall both had a blast

Mothers Day

Its Mothers Day and it has been a wonderful day. The kids all came up to Oakley for a BBQ.
I have some of the best kids in the world.....thanks guys. After everyone left to go home, I started thinking about my Mom..... she will be gone 6 years in September. It seems like just yesterday, I was talking to her about life and asking her for her opinion about my problems.
Sometimes when I look at myself in the mirror, I see her face in mine. I like to think she is ok with how things are going for our family, and looking out for us. She was a wonderful Mother and role model. She taught me to be strong and to stand up for what I believe in. For those of you lucky enough to have known her you know what I am talking about. Dad affectionately called her "Big Thunder" for a reason. I like to think of Abraham Lincolns quote when I think about her and all she taught me.."ALL THAT I AM, OR HOPE TO BE I OWE TO MY ANGEL MOTHER" ..........My hope is I can do the same for my own kids.
